About the event
Working with children, teens, and dyads is complex and deeply meaningful work that can support trauma recovery, emotional resiliency, and secure relationships. Trauma can impact emotional experiences and expression in many ways. This training also focuses on supporting clinicians in guiding clients (children, adolescents, and dyads) to increase Positive Affect Tolerance—a critical skill often impacted by trauma. Trauma can lead to difficulty managing positive emotions, as individuals may associate these feelings with vulnerability or distress. Clinicians will learn strategies to support clients safely explore and tolerate emotional experiences- ultimately fostering resilience, emotion regulation, and overall wellbeing.
