In this workshop, we will explore how politically charged environments can exacerbate re-emerging trauma, guilt, and emotional distress - particularly for clients from authoritarian or high-control faith backgrounds. Participants will learn to identify common emotional responses like anxiety, depression, and existential crises, and gain practical strategies for helping clients to continue building resilience. With a focus on understanding the intersection of religion, politics, and personal identity, this workshop equips mental health professionals with the tools to support clients navigating crises of faith and alienation in a divided world.
