This 1.5 hour introductory training provides a foundational understanding of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for

clinicians, case managers, and allied professionals who collaborate with or refer to EMDR trained therapists. Participants will learn what EMDR is, how it works, and the types of client concerns it can address. The training emphasizes practical skills—such as preparing clients for EMDR, identifying when EMDR may or may not be appropriate, and making ethical, informed referrals. By clarifying what EMDR is and what it is not, this session equips

professionals to support clients confidently and responsibly within their scope of practice. Approved by NASW/CT for 1.5 continuing education credits.
