GLP-1 medications have rapidly changed the landscape of metabolic health, creating new considerations for mental health professionals. This conversation explores the intersection of GLP-1 medications, mental health, behavior, body image, and the therapeutic relationship. Participants will examine what is currently known about the psychological effects of GLP-1 medications, potential benefits and concerns, and how these medications may influence behavior, self-perception, mood, and quality of life.

Emphasis will be placed on informed, person-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and recognizing when additional psychological support or referral may be appropriate.
