Beyond the physical symptoms of pelvic pain, fatigue, infertility, and gastrointestinal distress, endometriosis can profoundly affect emotional wellbeing, identity, relationships, occupational functioning, and mental health outcomes.
This 2-hour CE training equips mental health clinicians with foundational knowledge about endometriosis and explores the bidirectional relationship between chronic pain, hormonal fluctuations, medical trauma, invalidation, neurodivergence, and psychological distress. Participants will learn practical, trauma-informed approaches for supporting clients navigating the emotional burden of living with an often invisible illness.
Learning Objectices:
Describe the basic pathology, symptoms, and diagnostic challenges associated with endometriosis.
Identify common mental health presentations associated with chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis.
